"If you work on our solar system, would it void the original solar companies warranty?"

This is a great question that we get quite a bit! 
There are usually TWO different warranties given when you get your solar installed. There is the equipment warranty, and then the company that sold you the system they probably gave you their workmanship warranty.

The warranty on your equipment usually ranges from 10-25 years, and we can always work on a system without voiding this warranty! This warranty will always be in effect, as long as the equipment was installed properly. Meaning if your actual equipment breaks, the manufacturer will send you NEW equipment for free.

The workmanship warranty given by your solar company will sometimes cover if the solar goes down, or malfunctions. It usually says that they will come back out and fix it. BUT often times they are slow to respond (if ever), will still charge you for labor (so you might as well pay us!), or they will make it seem like you need the warranty to monitor your system on your phone (not true!).

We offer our own workmanship warranty on every job, from a local company that specializes in solar repairs and installs. AND we can usually still maintain the original solar companies workmanship warranty, and can always maintain the equipment warranty.

We can work with almost any solar equipment!

On the rare occasion that it is a system that we don't service, we will give you a full refund when we get to your home if there was anything paid for us to come out and service it.

Can my solar power my home without a battery?

Accepted Answer

This is a great question we get a lot, and something people often wonder about!

Solar panels alone can’t reliably power a home during a grid outage because they only produce electricity when the sun is shining and most grid-tied solar systems are designed to shut off automatically when the grid goes down for safety reasons.

Without batteries, there’s nowhere to store excess energy for use at night or during clouds, and the inverter can’t regulate power in real time to match household demand without a stable reference (the grid or a battery). Batteries act as both energy storage and a voltage/frequency stabilizer, allowing the system to safely supply continuous, usable power when the grid is unavailable.

We offer warranties on almost all of our services, except for solar panel cleanings (if we could keep panels clean forever we would be billionaires)!

Each service has a slightly different warranty, but if you want to know everything they cover ask us for an estimate to service your system and we will cover the warranty along with the estimate!
